NYC Ferry Service to Expand to Coney Island and Governors Island in 2022
In 2019, NYC Ferry announced continued service expansion where neighborhoods are growing, and job centers are burgeoning. On August 23, 2021, NYC Ferry launched the St. George route, making NYC Ferry a true five-borough ferry system by connecting Staten Island to the West Side of Manhattan. On December 28, 2021, NYC Ferry extended the Soundview route to Throgs Neck/Ferry Point Park, adding the system’s second landing in the Bronx.
In 2022, NYC Ferry will launch the Coney Island Route. Additionally, changes to the South Brooklyn route will go into effect with the launch of the Coney Island route.
